The little magician Danny Carter was at it again in the F.A. Cup. The competition brings out the best in Carter as he celebrated a hat trick on Saturday against Brocton, a feat he managed twice last year against Evesham and Lincoln United. During last season's fine run which ended at Nuneaton Town, Carter scored 9 FA Cup goals.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Striker Danny Carter was Coleshill Town's hat trick hero as they disposed of visitors Brocton 5-1. Remi Williams and Andy Milan were also on target for the home side, Gary Fife netting the consolation.

COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Danny Carter's love affair with the FA Cup continued on Saturday as he smashed a hat-trick in his side's 5-1 win over Brocton. Carter had netted back to back trebles in the competition last year as Coleshill stunned higher league Evesham and Lincoln United. And he was at it again as he netted three to make it five goals in three games since returning to the club from Stratford. From the start, Coleshill were quicker to the ball and pressed in numbers. It came as no great surprise when the home team finally capitalised on their possession as Carter's header hit the underside of the bar and squirmed in. Coleshill doubled their lead just after the half hour mark as Remi Williams headed home from close range. Gary Fife pulled a goal back for the visitors just after half time but Coleshill soon restored their advantage when a corner was cleared high and Andy Milan half volleyed it into the net with the aid of a deflection. Carter then went on to score twice more in the dying minutes of the game to more properly reflect what had been a dominant performance from the Alliance side. Last season, Brocton had taken Coleshill to a replay in the same competition. But Coleshill boss Carl Adams said "We were just too strong for them this time around and the scoreline didn't flatter us. It could have been a few more, to be truthful. We're delighted to have gone through. It's a bit more money for the club and it has set up a fascinating clash with Boldmere in the next round."
