SATURDAY 8TH NOVEMBER 2003
BOLEHALL SWIFTS 3 V 1 COLESHILL TOWN
Scorers:
Bolehall: Brett Larkins, Ryan Allmark, Shaun Derry.
Coleshill: Chris Davies.

Team:- Danny Moseley, Chris Gee, Frank Woodburn, Steve Lees, Simon Wczasek, Tony Gormley, Danny Nixon (Gary Falconbridge), Gareth Langford, Chris Davies, Pete Hall (Brendon Shilton), Derek Wilkes (Kevin Wagstaff).

MATCH REPORT
Simon Wczasek and Gareth Langford both played for Bolehall when they won at Coleshill just three weeks previous and were hoping to turn the tables and secure the points for Town. Swifts have shot up the table recently and their newly gained confidence was the difference as they again took all three points in an even game.

Both teams sounded each other out in an uneventful first half. The closest either team came was a Chris Davies downward header which was heading for the corner when the Swifts keeper pulled off a Gordon Banks type save to deny Town. At that stage if Town had took the lead they would just about deserved it. Swifts took the lead shortly after half time when a static defence waited for the keeper to come after a call but Bolehall took advantage to bundle the ball over the goal line. Coleshill levelled within five minutes when stand in centre forward Chris Davies, (twin Craig was unavailable) chased a long ball and appeared to be fouled but carried on as the defence stopped to lob the ball over the advancing keeper. Prolific Swifts scorer Ryan Allmark produced his customary goal on 67 minutes with sweetly hit drive following a fine move to edge the home side in front again. Coleshill played the best football of recent weeks but couldn’t find the break through and with time running out Swifts hit a third to give the score line a flattering look. Sean Derry hitting an unstoppable shot with virtually the last kick of the game.

A VIEW FROM THE OTHER SIDE
A Match Report taken from a Bolehall Programme

This local derby had added interest because the teams had only met a few weeks ago at Coleshill, and Swifts ran out 2-1 winners, on the day Pete Wilson took over the running of the Town. Pete signed a number of players that day to face Swifts, and it was a close result. Interestingly Swifts man Of The Match that day was Simon Wezasek who had recently signed from Racing Club Warwick where Pete Wilson had been manager. It was no surprise when he and another player, Gary Langford, asked to be transferred to Coleshill Town and featured in this match at Rene Road. Perhaps they may have second thoughts as Swifts once more ran out winners, in a somewhat uninspiring match that never really got going until the second half. Brett Larkins scored Swifts opener in the 46th minute (ensuring he himself scored in his 4th consecutive match). Only for Langford to quickly equalise. But the Swifts woke up and the lead was restored by a Ryan Allmark header and then Man Of The Match for Swifts Shaun Derry netted the 3rd right at the end to secure the full 3 points.
