COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coleshill are up and running as Wilson strike sets the tone
Coleshill kick-started their season with a great performance on Bank Holiday Monday to claim their first league win.

The Colemen totally dominated the game from start to finish and had Sphinx on the back foot with a succession of early chances.

They deservedly took an early lead through a superb free kick from Sam Wilson that gave Furlong no chance in the Sphinx goal.

Sphinx equalised soon after when a silly challenge on Cudworth resulted in the same player converting the spot kick.

Coleshill, however, were in no mood to let this game slip away from them and were soon ahead after Matty O'Beirne headed across the Sphinx goal and allowed Jason Ramsey to score from close range.

Coleshill extended their lead after a glorious volley from O'Beirne from the edge of the Sphinx penalty area.

The second half continued in the same vein with Coleshill in control and they deservedly got a fourth late on as a superb long range shot from Phill Gayle gave Furlong no chance.
