COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coleshill claim fine share of the spoils
COLESHILL produced a great team performance to secure a draw against high-fliers Bridgnorth Town.

Overnight rain saw the postponement of many Alliance games.

And, judging by the state of the Bridgnorth pitch, it was a very close call as to whether the game would be played or not.

Bridgnorth started the brighter and could have scored inside five minutes if it hadn't been for the sharpness of Coleshill keeper Paul Hathaway.

Coleshill slowly got to grips with the pace of the game and started to cause a few uncomfortable moments for the Bridgnorth defence thanks to the lively Leon Weller and James Travis.

In a game of few chances, it took until the second half for the teams to threaten.

Bridgnorth hit the post and Coleshill missed a fantastic opportunity when Travis lobbed the keeper only to see the ball float over the bar.

On balance, a draw was probably a fair result with Coleshill slightly edging it.

However, if either side had lost there would of been a certain amount of injustice about it.

The positives for Coleshill were the big performances of Hathaway, Jon Powis and Luke Edwards.

The added guile of Weller and Travis plus the discipline of Lewis Bishop and Ash Bradshaw also impressed.
