Saturday 9th March 2013
Midland Alliance
Stourport Swifts 5 v 1 Coleshill Town
Swifts: John Griffin 3, Jordan Jones, Lewis Pountney.
Town: Chris Gumery.
Attendance: 69.

Team: Lewis Williams, Lewis Bishop, Todd Evans (Ashley Bradshaw), Jack Hullin, Luke Edwards, Rob Freeman (Connor Leek), Cameron Jones (Jon Powis), David Tonks, Chris Gumery, James Travis, Chris Lloyd. Sub not used Leon Weller.

Stourport swifts stormed to a 5-1 win over Coleshill Town to keep their title hopes alive. Striker John Griffin led the way, bagging a hat-trick for the Walshes Meadow side. He took just three minutes to make his mark, a ferocious strike into the roof of the net from outside the area. Griffin then turned provider as Stourport ran in two more before the break. He teed up Jordan Jones and then sent an inch-perfect cross into the area for Lewis Pountney to nod home. Chris Gumery reduced the arrears early in the second half but Griffin wrapped up the scoring with two goals in the final 16 minutes to take Swifts to within 13 points of leaders Stratford Town.

Stourport prove too strong as Coleshill crash to defeat
STOURPORT proved simply too good for Coleshill on Saturday.

The home side came at Paul Casey's men from the start and were good value for their win.

Coleshill were equally adventurous but the Swifts were more clinical and took the lead with a stunning shot from Jon Griffin on five minutes.

Jordan Jones got the second and Lewis Poutney added a third.

It was not all one way traffic though and Coleshill created good chances themselves.

In the second half, Chris Gummery scored his first goal since returning to Coleshill.

At that point, it looked as if there was hope on the horizon but, during a period when Coleshill only had ten men on the pitch, due to an injury to Jack Hullin, Stourport scored a fourth through Griffin.

Coleshill then conceded again as Griffin was able to complete his hat-trick to seal an emphatic win.

Coleshill now dust themselves down before taking on Studley this weekend.
