COLESHILL claimed another point in their battle to avoid relegation from the Midland Alliance.

Paul Casey was missing Luke Edwards, Jon Powis and Darius Darkin for the clash last Wednesday.

But Coleshill still started brightly and twice went close early on.

Chris Lloyd caused all kinds of trouble down the left flank and had two glorious chances which he put wide.

Chris Gummery then had a brilliant opportunity to break the deadlock but again the shot went wide.

Ellesmere grew in stature as the game went on and took the lead just before half time when indecision in the Coleshill defence allowed a scrambled goal.

The second half proved a very even affair with neither team creating a clear cut chance until the dying seconds.

Ellesmere gave away a silly free kick just outside their penalty area and Leon Weller stepped up and blasted the free kick past the stranded keeper.

Coleshill have two home games this weekend as they host Loughborough University on Saturday (kick-off 3pm) before entertaining Heath Hayes on Tuesday night (7.45pm).
