REPORT BY PAUL BILLING
This was a game that Coleshill really couldn’t lose if they were to move away from the bottom of the league but for various reasons they were missing three of their starting line up from Saturday two of which were strikers. Highgate started the brighter without causing and problems for Coleshill who against the run of play broke down the left through Chris Lloyd whose shot was well saved but was push into the path of Coleshill’s man of the match 17 year old Harry Clare. Coleshill then dominated the first half but by some bizarre turn of luck found themselves two one down before the half time whistle, the first scored by Danny Pitt after confusion in the Coleshill area allowed him to tap in. The second was scored by Coleshill old boy Neil Kitchen who headed home again after confusion in the Coleshill back line.
Coleshill totally dominated the second half without managing to get a goal back, Harry Clare terrorized the Highgate left back but for long parts of the half was fighting a lonely battle.
The best scoring opportunity actually fell to Highgate that needed a superb save from Paul Hathaway.
