MATCH REPORT
The fabulous run continues! Five wins in a row, two of them against teams above Town in the league table, both sent packing with convincing 3-0 scorelines. Don't underestimate this result, Causeway are a very good side and played some impressive possession football but when it came to putting the ball in the net, Coleshill were supreme!

The strength in depth of Paul Casey's squad came to the for again as Town reshuffled the midfield with Declan Kirby out for the rest of the season and Danny Tymon unavailable. In came Oliver Casey in his preferred central midfield role and he made the most of the chance with a dominant display. Town also had to overcome an early loss of centre forward Chris Gumery who had to leave the field due to a groin injury but Chris Lloyd took his place and ended up on the score sheet.

A very entertaining and even first half ended goalless but the new supporters (there were a few new faces) must have been impressed with the level of football on show. Matt Brown lobbed the keeper but the visitors stopper, Tom Turner, just got a finger to the ball and then got back to grab the ball on the line. Reece Shilcock headed over from a corner, then Chris Gumery hit the foot of the post from a Ryan Nash cross. Causeway equalled that effort as Shilcock's shot from the edge of the box also hit the foot of the post. Ben Evans made the home keeper Paul Hathaway work as he pushed a goalbound effort out for a corner and Jack Pearlman sent a shot with the outside of his foot just over the bar. Leon Weller ran 50 yards to feed Brown whose powerful shot only just rose above the bar and Oliver Csaey also shot over the bar as the half came to an end.

Compared to the first half, the second 45 minutes got off to a slow start but the game came to life on 48 minutes when Matt Brown nipped in between keeper and defender to a through ball by Casey. The in form striker then had the simple task of rolling the ball into an empty net for his 17th goal of the season. Evans held off Casey to hit a shot from 22 yards that only just went past the post but although Causeway maintained the majority of possession it was Coleshill who looked the most dangerous as Barry Fitzharris and Oliver Casey broke up anything the visitors had to offer and prompted their forwards to do the damage. Coleshill went further ahead on 55 minutes with a fine solo goal as Chris Lloyd jincked into the box and side footed across the keeper into the far side of the net. Five minutes later and Town were out of sight. Casey was took out on the edge of the box and Will Worthington casually lifted the ball over the wall and into the top corner giving Turner no chance. This was Worthington's first goal for Coleshill in the right end making up for his own goal at Heath Hayes last week. Causeway's heads never dropped and they continued with their passing game. Aaron Lloyd barged his way past Danny Douglas, not many people do that, and forced Hathaway into a finger tip save, then the same player sent an overhead kick over the bar. The visitors best player Richard Thomas-Richardson ran 60 yards to feed substitute Rion Francis-Mills but the forward failed to control the ball in a great position and then Richardson forced Hathaway into a save. Coleshill substitute Connor Leek burst into the box and a great tackle by Danny Scarr prevented another goal and Casey fed Dean Rathbone in the dying minutes but his effort went over the bar.

Confidence is at an all time high and that optimism will be tested this week with two difficult away games, Westfields on Tuesday and in form Walsall Wood next Saturday. But with 5th place now achieved, Coleshill have their eye on 4th place, a position currently held by Boldmere some four points ahead, but Coleshill have a game in hand and The Mikes play Walsall Wood on Tuesday!
