Record breaking Coleshill see their winning run come to dramatic end

KIRBY MUXLOE 3 COLESHILL TOWN 1

THE winning run had to end sometime, and so it proved as the Colemen were finally overcome on Tuesday night.

After breaking records left, right and centre over the last couple of months, Coleshill saw the late title tilt suffer a severe dent in Leicestershire.

The home side were 1-0 up after only ten minutes, and doubled that just two minutes later.

Coleshill have not turned their season round for no reason, though, and they soon started to show that spirit that caused them to go on such a long unbeaten run.

They kept plugging away at their hosts, but it took until the 80th minute for them to get their reward for their efforts.

Leon Weller grabbed what looked like being a crucial goal for Coleshill Town, but Paul Casey's side were soon dealt a cruel blow in their bid to draw level.

Luke Edwards was given a straight red-card, just minutes after the Coleshill goal, putting paid to the Coleman's chance of drawing level.

To rub salt into the wounds for Coleshill the home side grabbed a third soon after.
