The run has to come to an end at some stage but had it been last night, and it very nearly was, it would have been hugely disappointing, as Coleshill were 2-0 up by half time and cruising! The visitors put in a fine second half fight back and looked the more likely to go on to win the game but Town's super sub, Simeon Cobourne came up with the goods again with a winner three minutes from time.

It's tough going with games every Tuesday and Saturday and although Manager Paul Casey has a strong squad, everyone is starting to look tired and jaded with only the belief of a league and cup double keeping them going. Leading scorer Shane Benjamin was missing due to work commitments and captain Danny Tymon was on the bench.

Man of the match Gurjit Singh was the first to test either keeper as his great strike had Chris Jay scrambling across his line to palm away for a corner. At the other end Tipton keeper Jack Hayfield pounced on the ball on the line from a Will Worthington corner. The visitors were enjoying some pressure but it was Coleshill who took the lead on 16 minutes. A great through ball by Craig Milligan saw Ryan Nash outmuscle his marker but saw his shot saved by Hayfield's feet. Nash headed the rebound back into the danger area and Mykel Beckley was on hand to force the ball home. Singh made Jay work again with another fine strike and then lifted a curling shot just over the bar before Town doubled the lead on 32 minutes. A Will Worthington corner to the far post found Beckley who shot through a sea of feet and hit the foot of the post, Danny Douglas was first to react to sweep the rebound home. A Dean Rathbone shot was going wide but Beckley was inches away from diverting it home at the far post. Jay saved with his feet from Singh, then Ricky Cutting had a great chance to increase the lead but headed a Rathbone cross over the bar from a great position.

The second half was a drab affair with the visitors growing in confidence as time went on. Nash shot over and Tom Weale tested the keeper with an early shot. Danny Douglas put in a great challenge to deny Singh a sight at goal but Tipton were soon back to get the goal their play deserved as Steve Weaver bent a shot round Jay and into the corner of the net on 58 minutes. Jay saved with his feet from Granderton before the visitors levelled the scores on 73 minutes. From a Coleshill attack, Tipton sent a long ball to Sean Pugh who did really well to hold the ball up then cross for the onrushing Singh to head beyond Jay into the net 2-2. Captain Danny Tymon came on to shore up the midfield and Deqwon Eubanks replaced Ryan Nash to add some height and strength to the front line, they both made a difference! Eubanks first touch took him into the box and his cross was met by Simeon Cobourne but his strike was saved by Hayfield's feet. Time was running out when Eubanks got into the box again and it was Beckley this time that got on the end of the cross but his effort was parried by Hayfield on the line! The loose ball was pounced on by Cobourne who forced the ball home from no more than five yards. A huge sigh of relief reverberated around the ground! Weaver nearly repeated his goal with another bending shot that scrapped the post but Coleshill had got out of jail to remain on the tail of league leaders Basford.

Secretary Dave Brown tells me that Cobourne's goal was the 500th for Coleshill in the Alliance/MFL but my maths says that was Leon Weller against AFC Wulfrunians!!! We will have to consult!
