COLESHILL GAZETTE WROTE
Coleshill played host to the Champions of the Premier league for the last two seasons in Nuneaton Griff and were given a lesson in keep ball. Griff played some of the best football seen at Pack Meadow for some time and it is an indication of how far the club need to progress. But Coleshill have a hard edge these days and were not to be un-done by their opponents. Town battled for everything, worked really hard for each other and got the reward of the only goal of the game after ten minutes. Winger Stuart Howard jinked down the right and as his cross came to the near post Mitchell Thompson reacted first to loop the ball over the keeper. For all their possession Griff could not create a clear-cut opening and Coleshill could have increased their lead but Stuart Howard was denied with a last ditch tackle well into the penalty box.
