COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coleshill Town were left stunned by two goals in stoppage time which ended their hopes of a cup upset against Midland Alliance side Paget Rangers. Coleshill opened the scoring in the 20th minute when Duwayan Mardenborough scored. A long clearance forward brought a rash challenge from Ben Roberts who was unable to prevent the ball being played through to Mardenborough who steered the ball past Mathew Harris from close range. In the 60th minute, Paget got the equaliser when Kieran King headed Charlie Carpenter’s near post kick across the face of goal and Marcus McDonald was presented with a simple tap in. Paget could have taken the lead in the 64th minute when Wayne Crook freed McDonald on the left. Coleshill keeper Greg Allen collided with Allan Thomas while attempting to claim McDonald’s cross and the ball broke for Luke Jones who miscued in front of an open goal. Thomas was injured in the melee and was replaced by Mark Kimberley who was soon proving a handful for the Paget defence. Kimberley’s involvement appeared to have won the game for the hosts when a long ball down the inside left channel saw Harris leave his line to claim the ball. Kimberley reached the ball before the Paget keeper and hooked the ball high over his head into the far corner of the net. Paget’s response was to score twice inside six minutes to secure victory. In the 92nd minute, Anthony Robinson crossed from the right to Marshall who curled the ball past Allen. Mardenborough should have restored Coleshill’s lead before Marshall hit the winner.
