Coleshill Town 3 v 1 Alvechurch
Midland Combination Premier
Scorers: Ant McManus 2 (1 pen), Paul Burns.

Team: Greg Allen, Lee O’Brien (Steve Fulford), Lee McCarthy, Paul Burns, Steve Grady, Simon Bradbury, Stuart Howard, Dave Wilson, Ricky Marshall, Ant McManus (James Connor), Mitchell Thompson (Tony Gormley).

COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coleshill Town showed what they can do when they can field a full strength side. Town were able to take all three points without being seriously threatened by struggling Alvechurch. Ant McManus led from the front by heading Town in front just before half time when he met a Stuart Howard cross. But the visitors hit back in controversial circumstances almost immediately. Lee O’Brien was penalised for a foul on the edge of the box and the Town players stopped when the whistle went. However, the Alvechurch striker continued on to score and the referee allowed the goal to stand, despite Town’s protests. He made amends by awarding Town a controversial penalty and McManus scored his 13th of the season just before half time. Paul Burns wrapped up the points with a trademark header from a corner in the second half.
