Swifts Recover From Shocking Start To Overcome Town

Swifts bounced back from conceding in the first five seconds away at local rivals Coleshill. Town struck straight from the kick off and dominated the first 15 minutes before Swifts slowly came back into the game. The Swifts revival was spearheaded by new teen-age striker James Sweeney from Tamworth FC. Sweeney linked well with winger Wayne Phillips to pull Swifts back level just after the break. Then with 20 minutes to go Nick Dumphries scored what proved to be the winner. "We never got a kick in the first 15 minutes". Confessed Swifts manager Ron Tranter, "But we slowly got back into the game and we deserved the win. Sweeney has done ever so well for us and has been Man Of The Match in his first two games". he added.
