COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Presidents Shocker For Coleshill

Coleshill will be hoping they have exorcised their demons with this defeat before Saturday's crucial table-top clash with Handsaker. Town were rocked by the loss of defensive stalwarts Wayne McKeown and Errol Black. Unfortunately, the lack of understanding and the unfamiliar formation cost Coleshill dear as they were overrun by in-form Shirley Town. Shirley took an early lead and it got worse for Town as leading goal scorer Tim Hilton had to be withdrawn with an ankle injury after only 18 minutes. To rub salt into the wounds, Coleshill had a clear penalty claim waived away and it was soon obvious it was going to be one of those days. Shirley added two more before the break and sealed their place in the next round with two further strikes in the second half.
