COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coleshill Town continued to slide from the summit of the Midland Combination Division One table. For the second week running, Coleshill came away with nothing from a game they should have had wrapped up by half time. Coleshill's forward line of Tim Hilton and Frank Woodburn should have had a hat-full of goals between them as time and again Old Hill's defence was opened up. And after 35 minutes, the visitors were to rue those lost opportunities as the home side took the lead completely against the run of play. It took Coleshill only five minutes to get back into the game and it was just reward for their enterprising play. The two forwards combined well and when Woodburn's cross evaded the keeper, Hilton tapped into an empty net for his 22nd goal of the season. The game was much more even in the second half as Coleshill started to run out of steam, and it was no surprise when Old Hill regained the lead. But Coleshill went straight up the other end and created their best chance of the half but Frank Woodburn scooped the ball over the bar when it looked easier to score. This finally knocked the stuffing out of Coleshill and Old Hill went on to score two more to give a flattering look to the score line.
