Monday 21st May 2001
Midland Combination Division 1
Kenilworth Town 0 v 3 Coleshill Town
Scorers: Tim Hilton 2, Mitchell Thompson.

Team: Greg Allen, Adam Strong, Stephen Grady, Mitchell Thompson, Wayne McKeown, Paul Burns, Tony Gormley, Frank Woodburn (Jason Taggart), Tim Hilton, Ant McManus, Ben Usher (Dean Tune). Sub not used Darren Bray.

COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coleshill put a stop to their slide down the table with a comfortable win over Kenilworth who are fighting to avoid relegation. This was a much better display of passing and attacking football against a poor Kenilworth team. Goals came from Mitchell Thompson who finished off a goalmouth scramble on 15 minutes, and leading scorer Tim Hilton who scored his 23rd of the season a minute after the break when he slipped the offside trap and delicately lobbed the advancing keeper. Then Hilton scored his second and Coleshill's third on 70 minutes, volleying a Frank Woodburn corner into the net. Hilton could have completed his hat-trick on several occasions and there were chances for Ben Usher, Ant McManus, Paul Burns and Frank Woodburn, but a combination of good saves from a young Kenilworth keeper, the woodwork and some bad luck kept the scoreline to a reasonable level.
