Coleshill Look For A Test
FA Carlsberg Vase
Coleshill Town are hoping for an extended run on the FA Vase road to Wembley to prove they are on the right track. Coleshill have already bettered last season's effort - thanks to a first match bye - and now they entertain Newport Pagnell Town in the second qualifying round tie in confident mood. Manager Martin Sockett's side top the Endsleigh Midland Combination and after turning their fortunes around on and off the pitch he would love a headline grabbing run. Sockett will not be underestimating United Counties League side Newport, despite their relegation into Division One last season. But he expects to have club captain Gary Shaw back in action after a groin strain to lead them while Paul Mountney should also be fit after a knee injury.
