COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coleshill Find A "Missing Link" To Their Favour

One goal was enough for visitors Coleshill Town to clinch victory in this hard fought game to gain top spot from Swifts. Bolehall were missing target man Richard Gregory up front and despite a good second half performance could not grab an equaliser. In the earlier match this season between the two sides Coleshill had three players sent off and Swifts one, and both teams were fired up for the game right from the kick off. The visitors had the best of the early stages, but Swifts fought back and came close from a 17th minute free kick from Jon Capaldi which flew across the face of the goal. Then Coleshill got the vital goal on the 29th minute mark, after Lee Lavery had forced a save from Bolehall goalkeeper Taylor. From the resulting corner Lavery claimed the last touch to put the ball in the net. Challenges were flying in all through the half as both teams battled hard but strangely no yellow cards were produced. Swifts had a much better second half with Williams and Roberts going close with headers, as the home side put pressure on the Coleshill defence. Town responded with chances on the break and Lee Lavery carved out opportunities to fire in a second goal. Overall though, it remained tight and Bolehall's Wayne Essex was sent off in injury time for his second bookable offence. The result left Swifts in second place on 56 points and Coleshill one point ahead. Each team has now played 28 games in the league.
