COLESHILL GAZETTE WROTE
Coleshill Town Football Club recently announced the purchase of floodlights for their attractive Packington Lane ground. The floodlights, which are due for installation within the next few months, will enable Coleshill's very own Football Club to progress through the pyramid of Non-League football. This five figure investment illustrates the commitment of Coleshill Town's hard working committee to bring Football of the highest quality to our Town. The Chairman of Coleshill Town Chris Davies said, "This massive investment will allow Coleshill Town to reach the very pinnacle of Non-League football, together with further recent investment S means that the future of this Town's club is secure with an exciting future." Coleshill Town's talented management duo Martin Sockett and Martin Smith commented, "With the squad of players we have currently available, and with the investment behind the club, there has never been a better future or opportunity for Coleshill Town and I urge the local community to get behind us." Returning to the Chairman who added, "This is the first in a series of exciting initiaves to place Coleshill Town firmly at the centre of the community and I can assure the people of the Town that they can look forward to several other vibrant developments, not only to bring the people of Coleshill to Packington Lane but also to make the Football Club A-Team for the Town to be proud of and a focus for the community."

SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Coleshill Land Bright Signing

Coleshill Town are set to become the latest Premier Division club to !fight up. The Pack Meadow side have bought the floodlights from former Beazer Midland side Leicester United, who folded at the start of this season. Coleshill snapped up eight 16-metre pylons from the now redundant United Park at Enderby in a deal with Sid Osborne, the former Armitage 90 owner who also closed down Leicester in September. The next step for Coleshill is to complete the necessary ground works and then - with planning permission already secured - erecting the pylons. Coleshill, like all Premier clubs threatened with relegation if they do not have lights next season, hope to have them switched on by the end of February. Manager Martin Sockett said that the lights would start a new era for the club. As well as the obvious benefit of avoiding any fixture backlog and playing games mid-week, Coleshill intend to extend their youth set-up with an under 18's team and allow evening coaching sessions for local youngsters. "We're delighted to have the lights because they are of such a good quality. It's excellent news for the club," said Sockett. He added, "From a personal point of view, it was tinged with a bit of sadness. I played on United Park against Leicester and it's a shame to think there's no club left." Coleshill have added to their squad by signing former Nuneaton Borough defender Adie Greatorex from Racing Club Warwick.
