SOLIHULL NEWS WROTE
Knowle Wing Way To Points

The Robins brought Coleshill’s charge up the league to an end with a fine team effort highlighted by the sweetest of goals from wing back Mark Robinson. The match started in end to end fashion with Loz Cairns 20 yard snap shot pushed round for a corner by Knowle keeper Dave Cox. Scott Sandford’s pace was causing problems for the home defence and following another powerful run on 10 minutes, Knowle scored the decisive goal. Sandford’s cross was only partially cleared and found Mark Robinson who brought the ball under control and crashed a left foot shot inside the post. Coleshill attempted to pick up the pace at the start of the second half, but the hard working Robins midfield would not give them the time on the ball they needed. Knowle went close to increasing their lead when Sandford’s effort was ruled offside, and the same player was denied by an excellent tackle from Gary Smith. In the final minute Dave Cox produced the save of the game to preserve the points for Knowle, when the ball was hammered through a packed penalty area leaving him unsighted.
