SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Coleshill Town's latest signing Robbie Beard was bang on target in this superb 3-0 away win at Upton Town. It was only 17 year old striker Beard's second game since moving to Pack Meadow from Bedworth United's youth team. Coleshill boss Martin Sockett, who was formerly with Bedworth, praised the youngsters performance - and predicted that much more would be heard of him in the future. Sockett's rebuilding plans have also received a major boost with the decision by goalkeeper Peter Manuel to stay with his side. Manuel has been headhunted by Hinckley Town in recent weeks. But one big setback in the Upton game was the loss of long serving, influential, defender Jamie Harden with a suspected broken ankle. Harden has his leg in plaster this week and will be seeing a specialist to help determine when a return to soccer action will be possible.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Coleshill Town pulled off a good result against higher placed Upton Town with a 3-0 victory away from home. After a goalless first half, an own goal gave Coleshill the lead and Rob Beard netted a second with ten minutes to go. Max Haywood's shot from close range then made it three for Coleshill.
