SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Shirley Town's Junior McKeon bagged up the most spectacular goal of the day when he fired home from the half way line at the start of the second half against Coleshill Town. Town ran out 4-2, with Richard Charles, Evan Williams and Jason Thomas also on target for the home side. Coleshill's goals came in the last 15 minutes from Paul Charnley and Justin Wiseman.

SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Coleshill Town have been urged to cast their sights upwards - and target a top four place. Martin Sockett's side are unbeaten since January 13th in the Premier Division. And they have games in hand to enable them to climb out of mid-table obscurity. "From the outset, we would have liked to finish in the top six and the way things are going at the moment we would like to push for the top four," he said. "Things are going quite well and the league run has given us confidence. The only problem is that we have got to score at least three goals to even get a point. In the last ten games we've conceded ten goals - but got seven points." Coleshill have beaten Meir KA 5-4, Southam United 5-3 and drawn 3-3 with Studley, with recent recruit Paul Charnley slotting in with Paul Mountney and netting five goals in four games. Sockett has added to his squad by recruiting Alan Evans from Massey Ferguson. The Coventry based player had a spell with Scunthorpe before playing for Bedworth and Racing Club Warwick. The Coleshill boss has also been grateful to Hinckley Town counterpart Dave Grundy, who gave the all-clear for goalkeeper Andy Russell to sign as cover. But their appeal against Matt Haywood's 35 day ban has failed and he will be side-lined until the middle of April.

SOLIHULL TIMES WROTE
Town Surge To Win

Town were in commanding form as they surged to a convincing win over their visitors. They were ahead after just ten minutes through Richard Childs and Ivan Williams added the second midway through the half. Coleshill's hopes of getting back into the contest disappeared ten minutes before the break as Jason Thomas extended Town's lead. Junior McKeon then made it four-nil within a couple of seconds of the restart with a scorching drive from halfway. Town took their foot off the pedal allowing Paul Charnley and Justin Wiseman to cut the deficit during the last 15 minutes.
