Coleshill started the 1994/95 season in the Skol Midland Combination Premier with Bob Nimmons as manager and Roy Dolloway his assistant in their second season in charge. They were hoping to improve on a 17th place finish the season before, with 10 wins, 15 draws and 17 defeats. Pershore Town won the league. Nimmons was starting to build, on paper, a strong squad captained by local lad Neil Hughes and including Colin Cooke, Jimmy Stafford, Neil Brady. Micky Setaro, Jamie Harden, Paul Wilson, Carl Clinton GK, Tim White, Jonathan Johnson, Jason Phillips, Alan Kilfoyle and Jamie Shipway who went onto play at a higher level but finally returned to his spiritual home of Coleshill Town.

Another year of FA restructure saw the start of the Midland Alliance with ten teams going up leaving the Midland Combination Premier short with just 18 teams.

This was Coleshill Town's 100th year Affiliated to the Football Association and they were awarded a certificate to recognise the achievement but Town had already being playing friendly games nine years prior to Affiliation so this was their 109th year!

Coleshill kicked off preparations with a friendly at Pack Meadow, Thursday 11th August 7.00pm Kick Off, against an Aston Villa XI in aid of charity. Proceeds were to be split between a Floodlight Appeal, (Floodlights were installed in 1997), and Villa manager Ron Atkinson's chosen charity, Cancer Research for Children. Entrance was £5 Adult, £3 children. A crowd of almost 600 saw Villa win 1-0 and £1500 was raised.(Pictures)

SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Coleshill boss Bob Nimmons has signed ex-Highgate United midfielder Ramsey Douglas from Tamworth and striker Neil Brady from Highgate. Coach Paul Mathews has also snapped up several players from local football in a bid to strengthen the first team squad. Gone in the opposite direction is Brad Lee, who has moved to Paget Rangers. And long serving midfield man Steve Whipps has finally been forced to retire from the game at the age of 38 after contracting a blood disorder from an infection. Coleshill received a major fill-up in their bid to light up Pack Meadow when more than a 1000 spectators turned up to watch a pre-season friendly against Aston Villa. The game arranged in conjunction with Coleshill Town Council to mark it's centenary, saw a mixture of Villa Reserve and Youth team players win 1-0. But Coleshill, like the rest of the Premier clubs desperately chasing every penny to buy floodlights, were, of course, the real victors. The gate receipts were shared with Caner Research For Children, a charity of Ron Atkinson's choice. Coleshill's second team have a new managerial duo. In charge is Dean McDermott, the former Paget Rangers player. His assistant is Paul McGuire, assistant to Mike Neville at Highgate United last season.
*The Sports Argus had previously printed team details and first half reports from Mid Com Prem games but it appears that because of the new Midland Alliance league, the Mid Com Prem has dropped down the pecking order and doesn't warrant the reports. This is going to make getting team and appearances details for CTFC very difficult this season.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Bob Nimmons saw his Coleshill Town side go down by a single goal to visitors Ansells and then promised a top six finish in the Premier Division. The Coleshill manager was disappointed but not discouraged by Town's performance at Pack Meadow. "We've got a nice little side", said Nimmons. "It was an even game with us having the better chances".
