SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
After a quite opening the Police took control of the first half. On 20 minutes Latchford went clear down the left flank from a Scriven through ball and chipped the advancing keeper and Davidson made sure by heading home on the line. Four minutes later sub McMenamin was upended in the box but Hornby's penalty was well saved by Baker. The Police continued to press and increased their lead on 27 minutes when, from a McMenamin free kick, Hopcroft turned the ball into the goalmouth and with the Coleshill defence static, Scriven hammered the ball home from close range.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Wilson Nicks A Point

Coleshill snatched a dramatic draw with a spectacular equaliser from substitute Paul Wilson. Earlier Police had created enough first half chances for a bag full of goals but had to be content with a 2-0 interval lead. Gary Davison headed home on the line after Olly Latchford had chipped the keeper. Then Dave Scriven scored from close range after Noel McMenamin and Steve Hopcroft combined well on a free kick. Police also missed a penalty after McMenamin was brought down, Darren Baker saving well from Neil Hornby. In the second half a revitalised Coleshill pulled one back when Jonathan Johnson nudged the ball home in a goalmouth scramble. Seven minutes from time Darren Carmell was forced to race to the edge of the box to clear but only as far as Wilson on the half way line, who looked up and lofted the ball into the top corner of the net.
