In the 11th minute Northfield's Curtis Woodus opened the scoring when he cut in from the right. Three minutes later Northfield were two up as Booth headed a picture goal. Northfield got their third in the 35th minute when Booth out jumped keeper Baker to head home Sweeney's beautifully flighted free kick.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Northfield took the lead in the 11th minute when Chris Woodus slipped round his marker and placed the ball past keeper Baker. Three minutes later Gary Booth made it 2-0 with a header from a Rob Sweeney cross. The third came in the 35th minute when Booth rose above goalkeeper Baker to head home Sweeney's free kick. McDonald reduced the arrears in the 54th minute, and Stafford saw his 25 yard shot crash against the crossbar but Coleshill were more direct and determined in the second half.
