SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
The first half saw most of the play in the Mile Oak half with Coleshill piling on some relentless pressure. But it was interrupted when Mile Oak's Fisher went off with a cut nose on 25 minutes. Shortly after the substitution Coleshill forced Lickerish to make a half save a shot which came back out to Meyrick who wasted no time in slotting the ball home after the keeper failed to retrieve the second chance.
Half Time Mile Oak 0 v 1 Coleshill.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
The first half saw Coleshill dominate the midfield and take the lead on 25 minutes as the Oak were recovering from a substitution after an injury to Fisher. A shot was well saved by Lickorish but he could not hold on to it and after a goal-mouth scramble Meyrick put the ball into the net. Coleshill went two up on 78 minutes after a cross from the right was put home by Brown.

COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Oak's Youngsters Fall Again

This game was by no means a classic but at least the scoreline did reflect the advantage Coleshill had over the young Oak side. Coleshill took the lead on 26 minutes by Taylor after Oak were left in some confusion following the departure of Fisher from the pitch after a nasty cut to his nose. The goal was an annoying one to concede as Oak keeper Lickorish half saved an effort then saw the ball fall to Taylor to hit home. On the plus side for Oak, Nick Geary had a competent debut (and took the MOM award) while Summerfield made some good runs through midfield but was always blocked by Coleshill's packed defence. The second half saw Coleshill win five corners in quick succession with Jarratt, Walford and Lickorish clearing shots by the Coleshill attack. But eventually the visitors got their reward when Brown made it 2-0 on 76 minutes. Although Oak broke clear a couple of times neither Mason or Grice could hit the target.
* John Taylor wasn't playing, it was Dean Meyrick that scored the first goal!
