SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Despite the wet conditions the first half produced end to end entertaining football. In the first minute Pountain went close for the visitors but his 18 yard shot hit the side netting. Coleshill took the lead after only six minutes from a Byrne penalty after the goalkeeper brought down Burroughs. Coleshill went close to adding to the score when Bodfish's shot hit the cross bar. Luckily for Pershore the ball bounced clear. Just before the break Coleshill had a fine move down the right with Burroughs crossing for Bodfish and his header just went over the bar.
Half Time Coleshill 1 v 0 Pershore.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Jimmy Byrne marked his promotion from the reserves with a superb hat-trick on his debut against top of the league Pershore. He opened the scoring in the first five minutes with a penalty after Burroughs had been up-ended by the goalkeeper. His second was volleyed home from 18 yards from a Hopkins cross. He rounded off a superb debut with a low drive ten minutes from time which deceived the Pershore keeper. Simon Judge got a consolation goal for the visitors two minutes from time.
