Coleshill took the lead after only two minutes when a fine build up by the midfield resulted in Taylor being put clear. Taylor should have made it two after ten minutes but his shot was easily gathered by the keeper.

Coleshill Town made hard work of the victory over lowly Alcester. Things looked promising after only two minutes when Taylor fired the home side ahead after being put through by Whipps. Coleshill sealed matters with six minutes to go when Steve Whipps drove home from 12 yards.
