In wind affected conditions and on a hard bumpy pitch both teams struggled. There were few chances at either end but Coleshill Took the lead five minutes before the break. Carmichael failed to hold a low shot and Johnson was well placed to knock the ball home from two yards.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
Coleshill steamed ahead five minutes before the break when Knowle's goalkeeper Carmichael failed to hang on to a low shot and Johnson moved in smartly to score from close range. Johnson struck again to put the game out of Knowles' reach with his second goal in the 61st minute.
