SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
The Police opened strongly with Small heading over from close range. A West free-kick was turned back by Small to Scriven whose shot was well blocked. Police won a series of corners and free-kicks all taken by West but all came to nothing.
Half Time: West Midlands Police 0 v 0 Coleshill Town.

SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
The Police opened their home programme at sun drenched Tally Ho! in conditions more suited to nearby Edgbaston Cricket Ground. Police opened strongly in the first half but chances that fell to Small, Scriven and Davison went begging. Coleshill came into the game and Rosborough, Washbourne and Daly brought saves from Carmell. The second half was end to end but the final finishing let down both sides.
