COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Kings For The Day!

Coleshill's luck, and everything else, ran out as they were emphatically beaten by Kings Heath writes Derek Gordon.
The home team were thought to be a good but not outstanding outfit, but a full strength Coleshill were brought crashing down to earth after two excellent performances. The game looked to be fairly even in the early stages with both sides starting off at a cracking pace. But the Heathens onslaught began when Trindell's powerful 35th minute free kick was parried by keeper Roger Tye and Cartwright followed up to smash in the rebound. Just before the interval Lawless made it two after being put through by Cartwright and the game was over as a contest in the 55th minute when Probert netted the third. With big John Taylor coming off the subs bench to return to the centre-forward berth after a three week suspension. the travelling Coleshill fans might have hoped for a consolation goal. But the Kings merely emphasised their superiority with another goal each for Probert and Cartwright. Now Coleshill face a battle to learn their lessons before travelling again tomorrow to face unbeaten League Leaders Northfield Town.
