COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coles Cop-It!

Coleshill were unlucky to miss out on at least a share of the spoils on Saturday as they were beaten by the odd goal in five to the Police Squad. The Police were quick to seize the advantage as Coleshill's defence had settled down as they forced a goal home after just two minutes and before the 20th minute it was 2-0 when Scriven rounded Tye and coolly slotted the ball home. Scriven scored again on the half hour and Coleshill appeared to be dead and buried but to their credit the Town side refused to give up and went close on a number of occasions. Jim Rosborough went particularly close and shortly after Coleshill finally got their just reward when Taylor shot through a crowded goalmouth to register his fifth goal in six games. About five minutes into the second half, Coleshill were awarded a penalty when Taylor was pushed in the back and Frank Hickman scored with apparent ease from the spot kick to put Coleshill back in the match. The last 40 minutes of the game produced a lot of exciting and entertaining football but no goals and in the end Coleshill were probably unlucky not to get at least a share.
Man Of The Match: Phil Bailey and Jim Rosborough.
