SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE

A rather scrappy first half with neither side able to construct anything like a goal attempt. Coleshill did manage one goal when keeper Sayse was beaten by Malanaphy. The second half saw Coleshill getting their game together, Malanaphy scoring his second after taylor made an easy goal for him to tap in. Substitute Daly made it 3-0 in the 73rd minute and Hickman completed the scoring with a goal in the dying minutes.

SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Play was a little scrappy in the opening minutes with both teams finding difficulty in putting two passes together. After 21 minutes Sayce saved well from a free-kick by Hickman, this was the only goal chance in the game so far. After 30 minutes, Mills blasted high over the bar from the first goal chance Princes End had. Malanaphy put Coleshill in front after 35 minutes.

COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
Coleshill's Big Four!

In form Coleshill raced into the top eight of the Scoreline Combination Premier as a result of this emphatic Saturday afternoon victory. Struggling Princes End held out for fully 35 minutes of the first half but the moment Coleshill went ahead the home side seemed to disintegrate handing the North Warwickshire team an important victory. It all began rather uncertainly with neither side able to assert themselves. Gradually however Coleshill began to look the better side of the two outfits and on 21 minutes home keeper Sayce was called on to make a good save from Frank Hickman. That set the ball rolling for Coleshill and on 35 minutes the visitors were ahead with Malanaphy slotting home with style. The second half belonged almost exclusively to Coleshill. Malanaphy notched his second, Frank Hickman made it four, and sandwiched between these was a 73rd minute strike from sub Tom Daly. A good result for Coleshill and one that leaves them as easily the highest placed local Scoreline Combination team.

*Tom Daly scored on his debut, the fourth Coleshill player to do so this season.
