West Midlands Police won the League.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
On the half hour Bloxwich were reduced to 10 men when Folland was sent off for dissent but they fought back to take the lead just before half time when Yates raced through to set up Lowe for a clinically taken goal. Coleshill levelled 15 minutes from time when substitute Daly was brought down in the penalty area and Hickman converted from the spot. Bloxwich grabbed the winning goal just a few minutes later when Knox scored with a header.

SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
The visitors Lowe took advantage of a defensive mix-up in the 15th minute to go past keeper Civil, but Clarke raced back to clear off the line. In the 22nd minute, Coleshill's Taylor shot over the advancing Humphreys but it rebounded off an up-right. Soon after, the keeper made excellent saves from Taylor and Christopher. Bloxwich, down to 10 men on 30 minutes when felland was sent off for dissent, scored just before the interval when Yates beat a slack defence to set up Lowe.
Half Time: Coleshill 0 v 1 Bloxwich

Sixth place was still a possibility for Coleshill but they blew it on the last day of the season. A win would have seen Town leap-frog Stapenhill and Northfield but the defeat by the odd goal in three meant the Colemen held on to 8th place, their best finish in four seasons, above Highgate United on goal difference! Sponsorship money was awarded to the top seven teams in the league, so Coleshill missed out yet again!
