COLESHILL HERALD WROTE
FA Cup Progress For Casey
Coleshill Town made FA Cup progress with a fine 4-1 win at Cradley Town on Tuesday night. Simeon Cobourne fired the Colemen into the lead on 38 minutes but Cradley levelled on the hour mark. Luke Barlone then came off the bench to score a second half hat-trick with goals in the 71st, 83rd and 89th minutes. Manager Paul Casey said, "It was a tough place to go on a Tuesday night. It was all about whether we could convert the chances we created. On Saturday we created chances in the double figures and only scored twice but Tuesday we created six to eight and scored four which pleased me. It was a professional win. I said to the boys, we are the giant killers but before we get to a further stage and play the giants, we become the target and a coup for teams to beat. I am over the moon that we have played two games already before the league has started". And looking ahead to the new season, Casey believes a fast start could be key to a successful campaign. "We have to start much better," he said. "How teams cope on our 3G pitch will be interesting. I think another key will be how we defend as well because we will score goals." Casey is missing striker Shane Benjamin and influential midfielder Craig Milligan for this weekend's game at home to Lye Town.

MATCH REPORT
By Simon Lyons

After Saturdays 2-2 draw in the FA Cup, it was off to Cradley for a replay on Tuesday night.

Coleshill made 3 changes to the side that started on Saturday with Jesse Race, Tom Weale and Simeon Cobourne replacing Matt Hunt, Sam Adkins and Shane Benjamin.

The first half was a closely fought contest with Coleshill having the majority of possession and deservedly went into the lead from a Simeon Cobourne header on 38 minutes after a string of corners and pressure on the Cradley goal.

Cradley came out strong in the second half as expected and Coleshill had Paul Hathaway to thank for two superb saves to keep the score at 1-0.

Cradley then grabbed an equalizer after a set piece into the Coleshill box was finished off by the Cradley forward.

Coleshill then pressed for the winner and a combination of good saves from the Cradley keeper who was excellent over both games and resolute defending kept the score at 1-1.

Coleshill then made key substitutions and it was substitute Luke Barlone who grabbed himself a hat trick in the final 20 minutes of the game with goals on 71,83 and 89 minutes, the latter being a coolly slotted penalty for his hat trick

Next round is Dudley Sports at home.
