REPORT
By Simon Lyons

After Saturdays disappointing opening day defeat Coleshill headed to one of the toughest away fixtures of the season at Heanor Town on Tuesday night. Three changes were made to the side that started on Saturday with Gavin Hurren, Gio Dainty and Aaron Garvey coming into the side

Coleshill started brightly and deservedly went in front after 15 minutes through a superb finish from outside of the box from Sam Adkins after an excellent passage of play from Luke Barlone and Reece Leek. In an entertaining first half there were chances at both ends with both goalkeepers making excellent saves to keep the score line down. Coleshill held the lead until 2 minutes before half time when the Heanor centre forward unleashed an unstoppable dipping volley to make it 1-1 at the interval.

The second half was a close fought affair but it was Coleshill who regained the lead when Reece Leek finished off a free flowing move with a smart finish to make it 2-1. The lead wasn’t held for long though as Heanor again equalized to make it 2-2. The game stayed that way until the 88th minute when Andre Gonzales made an overlapping run and delivered a ball into the box which was bundled home by a Heanor defender to give Coleshill all three points on the night.
