REPORT
Coleshill weren't at their best, maybe they have something else on their mind, but they still managed to score four times, take the points and stretch their winning streak to eleven games. They bettered the ten game winning run that took the Colemen to the Midland Combination Premier League title back in 2008 and beyond that, well, I need to delve into the far from complete history books but I suggest the nearest we will get to that is back in the 1960's, if ever!

Due to injuries, Rob Evans, and suspensions, Josh Quaynor, the defence had to be re-shuffled. Jesse Race came in at centre half, Andre Gonzales switched to left back and Dale Taylor took over at right back. Consequently the defence looked all over the place in the opening minutes but slowly came to grips with the task, so much so that Andre Gonzales was awarded the Supporters Club Man Of The Match, Sponsored by Greensleeves.

Coleshill started well enough and had a couple of half chances but the visitors took the lead on 4 minutes with their first venture into the opposition half. The ball was cleverly worked along Coleshill's 18 yard box and when it reached Rion Francis-Mills he produced an exquisite chip over the stranded Paul Hathaway and into the net. From a free kick Perry headed straight at Hathaway from a great position, Hathaway saved from Francis-Mills at the expense of a corner and Lloyd ran past keeper Hathaway but couldn't find the net as the Swifts turned the screw. Dean Rathbone had a shot tipped over the bar from a Tom Weale short corner and Swifts keeper Richards saved from Mykel Beckley. Lloyd shot wide from 25 yards when gifted the ball before Coleshill got a foothold on the game on the half hour mark. After a great run down the left edge of the box by Jordan Nadat, his perfect cross was met by the running Reece Leek who side footed past the keeper. On 44 minutes a free kick by Tom Weale was met on the half volley by Dean Rathbone who steered the ball past the keeper from 12 yards and a minute later Jordan Nadat stole the ball from a Swifts throw in and made ground into the box where his shot was deflected into the net by a defender. The goal was awarded to Nadat. After being outplayed Coleshill had hauled themselves to a 3-1 half time lead.

Stourport continued to have the upper hand in the second half as Andre Gonzales blocked a goalbound shot from Perry then Tom Fishwick cleared a Fulloway effort off the line, the follow up shot shaved the bar and Dale Taylor made a great tackle as Perry prepared to shoot. Jordan Nadat held up play and fed Reece Leek whose dangerous cross was cleared for a corner and Tom Fishwick's header was cleared off the line. A Dean Rathbone through ball fed Reece Leek who helped it on to Jordan Nadat who saw a powerful left foot shot well saved at the foot of the post and Gio Dainty had a header cleared off the line as Coleshill stepped up the pace. Lloyd, with back to goal, back-heeled the ball which only just went wide of the post. With 15 minutes to go Sweeney theatrically went to ground in the box and the Referee pointed to the spot. The Swifts midfielder picked himself up and took the spot kick successfully, 3-2. Swifts had the ball in the net again but play was brought back for a foul. Danny Tymon and Jordan Nadat combined the former shooting from 20 yards and wasn't too far away then Mykel Beckley's bending shot was pushed out for a corner by Richards. On 86 minutes Coleshill thought they'd made the points safe when, from his own box, Tom Fishwick found Mykel Beckley who did a quick one-two with Jordan Nadat before slotting the ball to Simeon Cobourne who confidently stroked the ball home. But a minute later Swifts were back in with a chance with another lovely goal as Hanson passed the ball into the net from 20 yards. Coleshill managed to play the time out and secure the three points.

SWIFTS MISS OUT IN SEVEN GOAL THRILLER

Coleshill Town 4 Stourport Swifts 3 MPL Tues 13th Feb Att : 106

Stourport Swifts gave title chasing Coleshill a real scare last night, but failure to take chances meant they came away empty handed.

Rion Francis- Mills gave them a flying start after only four minutes, chipping neatly over Paul Hathaway in the Coleshhill goal. Reece Leeke levelled on 33 minutes after Beckley crossed from the left, and a nightmare two minutes just before half time saw Coleshill snatch the lead, when first Dean Rathbone headed home unchallenged, and Matt Fulloway then diverted Nadat's low cross into his own net.

Aaron Lloyd and Alex Perry failed to find the net from close range before Jim Hanson saw his far post header cleared off the line onto the bar, and Swifts snatched a lifeline when Sweeney scored from the spot after being brought down by Gonzales in the box.

Substitute Simeon Colbourne looked to have made it safe for Coleshill when Beckley crossed for him to slide past Richards after a lightning break, but Hanson pulled Swifts back again with a crisp right footer into the top corner from the edge of the box with six minutes left.
