Another win, just, but a hard fought one against a Mikes side that have, over two games this season, matched Coleshill all the way and do not look like a bottom three team.
After an even start, Nesbitt hit the stencheon and Dean Rathbone hit a bending shot just wide, Boldmere took the lead on 15 minutes with an unchallenged header by Joe Lyng from a Nesbitt free kick! In a half with few chances Ben Usher-Shipway had the best opportunity but another unchallenged header went wide.
Ryan Edmunds arrival at half time livened the Colemen up and his bending shot was tipped round the post by home keeper Wagstaff then an Edmunds cross was headed just wide by James Hicks. The Mikes still looked dangerous on the break and it needed a great tackle by Joe Cole to prevent the home side from increasing their lead. The Colemen equalised late in the second half when Luke Barlone was wrestled to the ground in the box following a corner. Dean Rathbone calmly converted the spot kick. Both keepers had great games but Town's Paul Hathaway made a fabulous save from Usher-Shipway in the dying minutes to take the tie to penalties.
Hero Paul Hathaway saved the Mikes first kick and another miss by ex Town stalwart Craig Milligan meant Coleshill only needed to score four which they comfortably did thru Dean Rathbone, Luke Barlone, Ryan Edmunds and Reece Leek.
The win takes Coleshill to the Quarter Finals but with the second round not due to be completed until mid January, the draw is probably a couple of weeks away yet.
