MATCH REPORT

Coleshill were on a high after the 7-1 win on Monday and started the game threateningly. Liam Molesworth's runs down the right were a danger, Gio Dainty and James Hicks both almost benefiting from his crosses. Town took the lead on 20 minutes when keeper Paul Hathaway quickly punted forward, Reece Leek controlled the ball cleverly on his chest before passing to Ryan Edmunds who returned the pass leaving Leek with a clear path to goal. The in form striker shot hard and low across keeper Wagstaff into the far corner of the net. Danny Tymon sent Liam Molesworth clear but his strike was dragged wide, a great chance to increase the lead. Coleshill were well on top but the home side dug in and got their reward just before the interval. A free kick from Nesbitt from distance was floated into the box and with both Lyng and Hathaway deceived by the flight of the ball, it was missed by everyone and found the corner of the net.

The second half was a disappointment constantly interrupted by a whistle happy referee. James Hicks intercepted a poor clearance by Wagstaff but was tackled as he prepared to shoot and Tom Fishwick had a header from a corner cleared off the line. Coleshill were pushing for the winner but couldn't find the killer ball and little changed with the introduction of all three substitutes including debutant Ryan Wynter. Boldmere almost snatched the points as Joe Lyng headed a corner back across goal but Skinner headed over from a great position. A Paul Hathaway punch fell to Holmes, Jorna Moulton made a great tackle to clear the danger and Hathaway made a great save from Nesbitt. The last action of the game saw Jorna Moulton get to the bye line and his cross was met by the running Joe Halsall but his goalbound shot was blocked for a corner.

Coleshill disappointingly dropped two points which could be crucial as the title race reaches it's climax. They were well on top in the first half but the home team dug in and deserved a share of the points.
