COLESHILL POST WROTE
Two first half goals from Danny Tymon and Ryan Edmunds put Coleshill in the driving seat but a lacklustre second half allowed the visitors to claw themselves back into the game. At this stage of the season a draw isn’t enough.

MATCH REPORT
By Craig Hamilton

The first chance of the game fell to Shepshed as a free kick was chipped into the box from 20 yards but Paul Hathaway tipped a header over the bar. Coleshill forced the first corner when good work down the right by Danny Tymon saw his cross cleared at the far post. Coleshill gained the advantage on 19 minutes when a cross from the left was dropped by Shepshed keeper Hinds and as the ball bounced to the edge of the area, Danny Tymon lashed the ball on the volley into the top right corner, 1-0. Good interplay between Joe Halsall and Andre Gonzales saw the latter shoot over from the edge of the box. Coleshill were now on top and a quick throw in on the left by Gonzales found Ryan Edmunds 35 yards out, he chipped the ball over an advancing defender then volleyed the ball from 25 yards over the keeper and into the top corner, 33 minutes 2-0.

Coleshill started the second half on top and Reece Leek ran down the left wing then cut the ball back to Ryan Edmunds but his shot was deflected wide. Shepshed started to come more into the game and a cross from the right reached the far post where Joe Smith pushed an attacker needlessly in the back and Brennan scored from the spot, 58 minutes 2-1. Coleshill immediately have a chance to restore the two goal lead but Joe Halsall's header was acrobatically saved by Hinds, then Matt Gardner headed wide from a good cross by Joe Smith. The Colemen started to run out of ideas and legs as Shepshed win the ball in midfield and with only one defender against two attackers, the ball was squared for Hurst to slide the ball under the body of home keeper Paul Hathaway for 2-2, 68 minutes. More sloppy play by Town left Hurst free on goal but his shot skimmed the top of the bar. In the dying minutes both sides had chances to win the game but the best saw Paul Hathaway, up for a corner, head just over the bar from 8 yards. Coleshill really needed the win to keep the pressure on the promotion challengers and things got worse as Rob Evans was shown a late yellow card for a foul and seconds later a second yellow for arguing with the referee.
