SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
The home side missing five regulars took a long time to settle. Coleshill had more of the play in the first half and deservedly went in front when Russell found the net with a neat header. In the 57th minute Tipton went through on his own and scored with only Bradburn to beat. Bridgnorth got into the game in the closing stages and Francis scored nine minutes from time following a mix-up between Coleshill keeper Hollins and his full back.

CHELMSLEY NEWS WROTE
Winning Ways Of Coleshill

Things are looking good for Colin Holder’s new-look Coleshill Town side. After losing their opening game 2-1 to Smethwick the Pack Meadow men have beaten Walsall Wood 3-0, Boldmere St Michaels 3-1 and Bridgnorth 2-1.
For the first time in seven years of Midland Combination football Coleshill have beaten Bridgnorth. Up against last seasons runners -up, Coleshill again showed plenty of determination and no mean skill as they deservedly took the lead when Russell created an opening for Bob Dyer to score with a flying header from 15 yards. Coleshill were clearly on top in the second half with Jones, Canning and Russell all going close to increasing the lead before a through ball by Dyer found Tipton, who ran from the half way line past a static home defence to calmly walk the ball round the advancing keeper. Ten minutes from the end keeper Hollins and full back Campbell were guilty of a mix-up which led to Francis pulling a goal back for Bridgnorth, but the final stages saw Coleshill back on the attack and in full control. Manager Colin Holder said this week, "We could not have had a better start. The team spirit is magnificent."

Coleshill Programme notes wrote
