SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
In the first minute Shakespeare brought a good save from Hollins who again saved well after good work by Fish gave Larkham a clear shooting chance. Pager were doing all the pressing but were not turning their superiority into goals. Coleshill’s first chance fell to Russell who beat Calcutt but fired over the bar. Coleshill took the lead after 16 minutes when Calcutt turned Canning’s shot, that was going wide, into his own net. A great run by Fish to beat two defenders saw Campbell clear off the line to deny a Paget equaliser.
Half Time Paget 0 Coleshill 1
In the 50th minute Coleshill went two up when Clarke misjudged a centre from Henning and allowed the ball to go to Sawojka who headed home from six yards.
Then later the Sports Argus wrote
Coleshill Town got back to some of their earlier firm when they outplayed Paget Rangers at Walmley. Coleshill were always in charge with Canning causing the Paget defence many problems. His shot put Coleshill into the lead after having the assistance of having a deflection by defender Calcutt. Bissell put the match all square just after half time. Sawojka scores the goal of the match with a superb header. Bob Dyer sealed Paget’s fate when he completed the scoring.

CHELMSLEY NEWS WROTE
Coleshill Make It Seven - Up

Chalking up their seventh league win ( I make it six), Coleshill gave an enthusiastic display and took the lead in the 16th minute when Pollack and Dyer combined for Barrie Canning to cross the ball hard and low and there was Jones to apply the finishing touch. Paget hit back, with Fish weaving his way past three defenders, but Campbell saved Coleshill with a last ditch ter 75 minutes clearance. Coleshill increased the pace in the second half and in the 50th minute Sawojka headed home a cross from Jones, despite being challenged by three Paget players. Bissell pulled a goal back for Paget, taking advantage of a mix-up between Cartwright and Campbell, but Coleshill wrapped it all up after 75 minutes. Jones started the move with a pass to Sawojka, who deftly found Canning unmarked and his accurate ball gave Dyer the opportunity to make it 3-1.

This Saturday Coleshill are at home to local rivals Chelmsley Town in the Minute Combination Challenge Cup second round replay. The Coleshill team will be selected from: Hollins, Pollack, Woolley, Cartwright, Hackett, Campbell, Wilson, Dyer, Russell, Jones, Canning, Tipton, Sawojka and Gardner.

THE CHELMSLEY NEWS ALSO WROTE
Holder On The Move ?

Colin Holder, the former Coventry City player, who has been manager of Coleshill Town since the start of the season may be leaving Pack Meadow. He has had an offer to manage another club and was due to discuss his future with Coleshill Town’s committee this week. In the last three months he has been at Coleshill the team has moved into third place in the Midland Combination First Division - a remarkable transformation from last season when they finished last but one. Holder has transformed Coleshill and built up a squad of players capable of getting amongst the honours this season. Only last week he completed the signings of three players: Steve Pollack (Oldbury United), Ron Cartwright (Burntwood Institute) and Barry Tempest (Bolehall Swifts). It will be a blow to Coleshill if Holder does leave because the team’s improvement was emphasised last Saturday when they visited and defeated Paget Rangers.
