THE SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
Coleshill were the first to attack when a ball from Bishop on the right was hit on the volley by Pollack just wide of the goal. A through ball from Hopkins gave Hannah a shot at goal but Hollins made an easy save. A long ball from Brick was headed clear by Bishop and Calvert saw his shot scrape the crossbar. A long ball from Tempest split the Racing defence but Canning failed to caption the half chance. In the 14th minute an injury to Bishop in the Coleshill defence resulted in the player being carried off and Coleshill had to shuffle their team around. A cross from Talbot from the right was headed on to Colman whose shot had little power and gave Hollins an easy save. Hanson was put through by Tempest but goalkeeper Garrett came off his line early to gather the ball. A bad error by the Coleshill defence in the 25th minute gave Edgerton a shot at goal which rebounded off the far post into the arms of Hollins but the goalkeeper let the ball fly out of his hands over the goal-line. Russell gave the ball away in the middle of the park and Racing Warwick were given a gift of a goal from close range. Good running by Calvert gave him a chance to reduce the deficit but his shot was cleared off the line by Cooper with Garrett beaten. In the 34th minute an overhead kick by Canning bounced off the top of the crossbar. A ball from Brick over the top of the Coleshill defence was cleared by Pollack who had reverted from midfield to full back. With the home team's defence calling for off-site the flag stayed down and Edgington had an easy chance to give the visitors a three goal lead. A minute from the interval a lob by Colman completed an unhappy first half for Cwith the visitors having an interval lead of four goals to nil.
Half Time Coleshill 0 Racing Club 4.

AND THE SPORTS ARGUS LATER WROTE
Coleshill Town appear to be the chopping block just lately, this time it was Racing Warwick who notched a nap hand of goals against a Coleshill side that has been badly and seriously affected by injuries. Coleshill's early points have certainly kept them out of the danger zone. Colin Holder must be another manager looking towards the end of a drastic change of fortune.
