SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
A bumpy pitch made life tricky for both sides but it was the hosts who opened the scoring on 32 minutes when Harry Scott found Carl Tappin unmarked in the centre. Coleshill's best chance of the first half came from a Stuart Hendrie cross that found Joe Halsall but the midfielder was unable to hit the target. There were chances at both ends in the second period with Halsall having an effort saved by keeper Nick Bennion before Aylesbury's Scott had a shot blocked by Town keeper Paul Hathaway. And it was from that save the Colemen equalised on 66 minutes, the ball being played for Matt Gardner to flick on for Liam Molesworth who in turn found Joe Smith to score.

NON LEAGUE PAPER WROTE
Coleshill overcame a bruising Christmas period to earn a 1-1 draw away against Aylesbury. The hosts took the lead when Harry Scott made a run down the right and his cross found Carl Tappin unchallenged to head into the net. Coleshill's best chance was from a Stuart Hendrie cross that found Joe Halsall at the far post but his volley went wide. The entertainment marginally improved in the second half but quality was at a premium. Joe Halsall had a shot saved by keeper Nick Bennion and Harry Scott's effort was blocked by Town keeper Paul Hathaway's outstretched hand. Coleshill broke quickly when Matt Gardner flicked on for Liam Molesworth who passed to Joe Smith to fire home from ten yards with 66 on the clock. Scott turned and shot just past the far post ad he again had a chance to win it in the dying seconds but Hathaway saved.
