Saturday 10th October 2020
Southern League Division One Central
Coleshill Town 1 v 4 Aylesbury United
Coleshill: Daniel Dubidat.
Aylesbury: Jamie Rudd 2, David O'Conner, Anthony Ball.
Attendance: 166.

Colemen: Paul Hathaway, Josh Webb, Taylor Carter-Byrne, Harry Higginson, Shay Palmer, Barry Fitzharris (Max Brogan), Kieran Hinchley (Sam McLintock), Joe Halsall, Daniel Dubidat (Ethan Mannion), Kai Tonge, Gio Dainty. Subs not used Vidal Henrickson, Rydhel Ikouare.

The Ducks: Jack Hopwood, Harry Jones, Jake Bewley, Jack Wood, David O'Connor, Mark Riddick, Jamie Rudd, Ollie Hogg, Ty Deacon, Sonny French, Lee Stobbs. Subs Anthony Ball, Juwon Akintunde, Kuda Sangoya, Jordan Jenkins.

For the first 15 minutes there looked nothing between the sides but a long hopeful ball eluded the home defence leaving Jamie Rudd clear on goal and he confidently passed the ball into the net under keeper Paul Hathaway. 0-1. 16 minutes. In a copy cat move Jamie Rudd was clear again but skied his shot. Coleshill were given a gift of a goal when a Harry Jones back pass fell nicely to Daniel Dubidat who smartly shot under the visiting keeper. 1-1. 30 minutes. Aylesbury has a series of crosses that Coleshill dealt comfortably with but the last one fell into the path of the unmarked David O’Conner who finished well past Hathaway. 34 minutes. Coleshill had a free kick on the edge of the box but when Josh Webb’s kick hit the wall Aylesbury broke quickly slicing open the Town defence and Rudd rounded the keeper and rolled the ball into an empty net. 39 minutes.
Half time Coleshill 1-3 Aylesbury.

A much less eventful affair second half as Aylesbury sat back and Coleshill had much more possession. Daniel Dubidat has a shot deflected for a corner, and a shot over the bar, Kieran Hinchley had a shot saved by visiting keeper Jack Hopwood but the last word fell to Aylesbury as a home throw in deep in their own half was intercepted by Anthony Ball who ran into the box and bent the ball round Hathaway into the corner of the net 1-4. 87 minutes.
Things are just not going their way at the moment for Coleshill but with so many first choice players missing their luck will change when everyone is available but they most stop gifting the opposition goals.
