SPORTS ARGUS WROTE
In the 10th minute Bryne for Paget worked himself a good chance but R.Allen headed the shot over the bar. From the corner Coleshill cleared quickly upfield and Wilding in the Paget goal had to rush 30 yard off his line to prevent Blythe from scoring. A bad back pass from Coleshill in the 14th minute put Smith clear but Sammons in the Coleshill goal watched the ball away from his feet. Again in the 32nd minute Sammons made another save from the feet of Smith. Coleshill pressed Paget in the last five minutes of the half but could not get the goal that they deserved.

SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
A bad back pass from Coleshill in the 14th minute put Smith clear, but Sammons in the Coleshill goal snatched the ball from his feet. In the 55th minute, Hobbs headed past the goalkeeper but was ruled to have fouled. Sammons rushed off his line a minute later to save from Smith. Larcombe for Paget bent a 35 yard drive which Sammons brilliantly saved. Calder went close for Coleshill in the 68th minute and then Blyth hit the side netting.

CHELMSLEY NEWS WROTE
Coleshill Net A Vital Point
Up against second in the table Paget, Coleshill showed that their six goal thrashing of Cradley Town was no fluke, when they deservedly picked up another Midland Combination First Division point. In a hard, physical, but always sporting battle, Coleshill worked hard to stem some strong Paget attacks and non did better than full back Terry Allen and keeper Terry Sammons. In the first few minutes Allen expertly headed a shot from Burns clear and Sammons saved well from Rogers and Smith. Sammons also dived bravely at the feet of Smith to prevent a certain goal, before Coleshill countered with John Blythe and Barrie Canning prominent. In the 55th minute Hobbs headed into the Paget net, but the goal was disallowed for an infringement. Sammons was again to the rescue for Coleshill turning away a 35 yard shot from Larcombe, but with Les Stonebridge opening up play, with some fine distribution, Coleshill finished strongly and both Blythe and Canning went close to snatching success. This was Coleshill's third point from ten league games and they have now moved off the bottom rung.
