The last time Coleshill played out a 0-0 draw at Pack Meadow, in a League game, was against Walsall Wood on 2nd November 2013. Although both sides will be happy they didn't lose, they will also be disappointed as both teams had chances to win it.
A very even first half at windy Pack Meadow saw the visitors have a couple of near efforts, a shot from Callum Stead and a header just over the bar from Ali Nijie. In reply Coleshill had efforts by George Washbourne and Liam Molesworth but the best chance of the half came late on as Zayn Hakeem, with his back to goal, turned and shot scraping the crossbar.
Chances remained at a premium in the second half although Coleshill stepped up the pace. The home side should have had a penalty as Welwyn keeper Charlie Jones pulled down Edilson Panzo-Antonio inside the six yard box but amazingly the referee booked both players and awarded the free kick to City. Welwyn almost snatched the points in the dying minutes when Jordan Watson got clear but a match saving dive at his feet by Coleshill keeper Paul Hathaway saved the day.
