SUNDAY MERCURY WROTE
In the opening stages both defences were resolute but in the 17th minute Coleshill were presented with a fine opportunity. A bad free kick by the Stratford goalkeeper fell to Herman Wilson but he pondered too long allowing Mark Bishop to race back and clear. Stratford scored the all important goal after 22 minutes when a cross by Gary Whild was fumbled by the Coleshill goalkeeper under pressure and Gary Hardwick gratefully slotted home.

Coleshill Chronicle Wrote: Smiles returned to the ranks of Coleshill Town who after a very lean time cracked a 3-2 victory off Hillbrook United and although the winning goal was a “gift”, their brace of points was fully warranted. J.Harper netted both goals for the visitors to provide an early 2-1 lead but before half time J.Hillias 2 and G.Letts had put the game in favour of Town.
