COLESHILL Town boss Paul Casey says he hopes to add six players to his Midland Alliance squad for next season.

But Casey has confirmed the departure of goalkeeper Paul Hathaway.

The keeper was an ever-present last season but Casey said: "Paul has decided to move on and we wish him all the best.

"He played in every game last season and was a total professional. His departure is a blow but we move on. That's football.

He added: "Things are going well and four new players have already agreed to join. They just need to put pen to paper now before we announce their arrival.

"We could have another two more quality players as well so that will take us to six fresh faces for the new season.

"I am already excited about next season to be perfectly honest.

"We had a great year last season, claiming fourth and it's all about us trying to improve on that now.

"We may find there's more expectation on us after the success of last year but I am looking forward to the challenge."

Coleshill have also announced their pre-season dates with the side starting on July 5 with a trip to Sutton United, kick off 12noon.

On Saturday, July 12, they will make the journey to Ellis Town and Ibstock United FC who finished third in the East Midlands Counties League.

The Colemen are away to Racing Club Warwick on Tuesday, July 15 and visit FA Vase semi-finalists St Andrews on Saturday, July 19.

On Tuesday, July 22, Coleshill make the trip to Lichfield City.

And finally, on Saturday, July 26, they host Thurnby Nurvana FC, who were East Midlands League champions in a 3pm kick off.
